With Summer being the busy wedding season here in Utah, engagement sessions usually take place in the spring. And if you live in Utah, then you know we have absolutely crazy and unpredictable weather in the spring! It can be beautiful and sunny one minute, and snowing the next! This always adds an annoying element to spring photo session planning haha. The day of Madison and Nathan’s Utah State Capitol engagement session was super stormy and windy, but we crossed our fingers, hoped for the best, and worked with the elements!
Madison and Nathan are such a cute couple! They laugh and giggle so easily together, and it was so fun to see them interact together! They met through Nathan’s roommated, and I loved hearing about their fun first date. They rode electric scooters on a path in Mapleton, and were able to chat and laugh while making cow sounds haha. These two describe their relationship as fun, playful, and sarcastic, and the more I have gotten to know them, I have been able to see just how true that is! They love making silly faces at each other, and the laughter that follows those faces is the best!
When we were discussing locations, Madison really wanted somewhere with flowers. She absolutely loves flowers, and her engagement ring even looks like a flower! We decided on the Utah State Capitol for their engagement session session, and it was perfect! The trees were full of blossoms, and there were colorful tulips all around. They even let me convince them to go to a random pink blossoming tree that allowed for gorgeous views of the capitol in the background! I love when couples trust my vision and are game for anything!
