Oh this wedding – such a good time! I had never met Nicole or Chris prior to the wedding day (thanks Corona), so I wasn’t sure what I was walking into! They were married on a perfect October day. As soon as I showed up to Oak Hills Reception Center, I was greeted with a delicious smell wafting out from the building! Yum! Once inside, I went straight to the Bride’s Suite, and Nicole instantly was so warm and welcoming! She looked so beautiful with her hair and makeup done, and was busy getting her adorable sons ready!
Later on when I met Chris, he was a ball of nerves – so excited, but so nervous for the vows. He said he wrote 5 pages, and couldn’t get through practicing them without crying. Awww!! When it came time for the ceremony, Chris teared up seeing Nicole walk down the aisle. The emotions were so sweet, but the sweetness didn’t stop there. As soon as Nicole passed off her bouquet, she walked over to Chris and grabbed his face and gave him some love. It was SO sweet!
Of course, Chris’ vows were a showstopper! They were heartfelt and endearing, and he even had vows for the boys. Chris made some pretty great promises to them, like getting a puppy, and playing Minecraft together. But the best part, was promising to love them and always be there for them. Now that’s a good man! Chris and Nicole had a knot tying in their ceremony with their two boys. They were all represented by different ribbons, and together as a family of four, they tied them together. I absolutely loved the symbolism of that!
It was so sweet to see everyone who cared about this family. So many people showed up to Oak Hills Reception and showered them with love! The dance party was UNBELIEVABLE! So much fun!! Nicole is a big fan of 80’s jams, and they boogied all night long! It was so much fun to witness, and to photograph! People who dance at weddings are my kind of people!! One memorable part of the night was when Nicole and Chris were cutting their cake. They had just removed the slice they were going to feed to each other, and their little boy walks up, and takes the cake!! He thought they were cutting the cake for him! HAHA!! It was PRICELESS! And of course, they had such a fun send off – paper airplanes!! Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see that!
Nicole and Chris, thank you so much for the honor of capturing your wedding day! You two are the cream of the crop, and your little family is going to have the best life together, I just know it!
