It was a beautiful October afternoon up at the Logan LDS Temple. A perfect day for a wedding. There were colorful leaves on the nearby trees, and it was exceptionally warm for the middle of October. Surrounded by all their loved ones, Ashley and Chandler exited the temple with giant smiles on their faces. It was done. They were officially husband and wife!

Ashley & Chandler’s wedding day was perfect from beginning to end, but Chandler singing to his sweet bride will forever be one of my favorite wedding moments. His hands were shaking. You could see he was nervous. But with one glance at his bride, his new wife, it all made sense. He was doing this for her. Chandler was the center of attention, amongst all his family and friends, but he only had eyes for Ashley. As he serenaded his new wife, everyone’s eyes welled up with tears. This was special. This was what the whole day was about — the marriage and love that Chandler and Ashley have for each other.

Seeing those two stare lovingly at each other, through happy tears, reminded me why I do what I do. I get to capture couples on the happiest day of their lives. When their love for each other is so strong. So unbreakable. So full of joy. My photographs will be passed down from generation to generation, so that 50, 100, 150 years from now, Chandler and Ashley’s family will be able to look at my photos and say “Wow, look at how in love they were!” “They look so happy!” “That is so sweet that he sang to her! Grandpa always had the best songs.”

Ashley and Chandler, thank you so so much for having me be a part of your wedding day! You two come from some of the sweetest, most caring families I have ever met, and their love raised two amazing people! I had so much fun getting to know you two, and I know you’re going to have an amazing life together — full of music, laughter, kitties, and more trips to Disneyland than anyone will ever be able to count!
