La Cappella wedding venue, formerly known as The Canterbury Place, is a historic venue located in the heart of Bountiful. Just 15 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 20 minutes from the SLC international airport, La Capella is a beautiful venue with historic charm and modern style. New owners, Trisha and Jared Baker, took over the venue in 2021 and wanted to pay homage to the 1914 building’s history as a church with the name La Cappella which means “The Chapel” in Italian.

The exterior of the newly remodeled venue features a bright white exterior with black trim. As you enter the front doors, you are greeted with a modern aesthetic – white paint, light colored wood floors, and plenty of open space for dancing! The venue has an in-house catering team, and boasts a delicious, flavorful menu to feed all your guests. Their groom’s room follows the black and white theme seen on the exterior, and is the perfect prep space for all the men.

While most of the perks of the venue are inside, La Cappella also has a small outdoor ceremony space. The outdoor area has seating for 50-75 guests, and is just beautiful in the summer! The photo below shows the old tan exterior of the building – it is now a modern white color. The beautiful front entrance is also the perfect backdrop for a sparkler send-off at the end of the evening!
