This fall mountain bridal session is just absolutely beautiful! We could not have lucked out with better colors on the leaves, and the weather was just perfect! This was a super special first look for me to capture, because it is for my little sister-in-law and her new husband! Sam and Braxton have been dating for many years, and we were all waiting for their engagement to happen! As soon as it did, Sam asked me to be their photographer, and I was so honored!
I always tell my grooms before the first look that there is no pressure to act or feel a certain way. All the Pinterest/Instagram/TikTok videos out there put a lot of pressure on groom’s to cry or act in some way that’ll make their first look go viral. While that is great, it’s just not realistic for every couple. So I always start by saying – no pressure – act however you want.
I do require one thing of them – they need to tell their bride to be how beautiful they are! They can phrase it however they want, but make sure to give her the words of affirmation she is seeking after many hours of hair/makeup and getting into their dress. And the first words out of Braxton’s mouth were: “It has a belt.” Face palm! That is not what I said Braxton! It did make us all laugh though, and they had plenty of sweet, romantic moments right after that!
These two are very cute with each other, and laugh easily at one another while also dishing out backhanded compliments haha. I couldn’t be more in love with how their fall mountain bridal session turned out, and I can’t wait for you to take a look!
