Draper Temple Wedding + Backyard Reception

Emily and Kai were married last weekend, and it was wonderful photographing their Draper temple wedding! The happy couple exited with smiles all around. It was a super hot, bright day at the temple, but it was great being the only wedding on the grounds! We were able to take our time and have access to all the best spots around the temple!

Both of their families were super kind and easy going. A funny moment from the day was during the big family picture when Kai’s nephew decided he’d rather roar like a dinosaur instead of smile. Everyone busted up laughing and it was so funny! The reception portion of the day was held at Kai’s family home, and it was the perfect spot for a laidback celebration. Emily is not originally from Utah, so her and Kai are celebrating again this coming weekend up in Oregon. Because of this, their backyard reception did not include any of the typical wedding festivities. It did, however, include a bunch of yummy desserts and a super fun ice cream float vendor!

Thanks so much for having me photograph your Draper temple wedding + reception, Emily + Kai! You guys are really cute together, and it has been so much fun getting to know you better! I cannot wait to see where life takes you two!!
