Jieun and Trevor had a beautiful wedding last weekend at Cactus & Tropicals Draper. Surrounded by their family and friends, Jieun and Trevor renewed their marriage! They made promises to keep loving each other fiercely, and to always ask before taking food off the other’s plate.
You see, this wedding is a long time in the making! Originally Jieun and Trevor eloped back in 2018 – and while that decision was a good fit at the time, they had some regrets about missing out on a traditional wedding. So they started planning a wedding that would take place in Korea to pay homage to Jieun’s heritage. Only then the pandemic happened, and a wedding in Korea wasn’t a possibility. So plans changed once again, and they finalized plans for a wedding here in Utah at Cactus & Tropicals Draper.
All the waiting and planning was so worth it, because the night turned out beautifully! There was such a nice, laid-back vibe at their wedding – everyone was relaxed and happy, and simply enjoying themselves. Trevor and Jieun wore traditional Korean wedding outfits called “Hanbok” and they were so beautiful! They also had a Korean leader of the church give them a blessing, and that was so fun to hear! I loved seeing the mix of traditions that these two incorporated – it is so fun to shoot something different than just the traditional “American” wedding. If you take any piece of advice away from me – it’s this – make your wedding day your own!! Do exactly what you want to do (or don’t want to do), and you’ll have the best day ever!
Jieun and Trevor, you two have been married for 3 years now, and your love for each other is still so apparent! I loved witnessing your laughter, and how much your eyes still shine when you look at each other. Keep it up, and cheers to a million more years of marriage!
