When my client’s first hire me, I like to follow them on Instagram and learn more about them leading up to our first session together. From following Tina and Gary, I felt like I already knew them when we first met. I learned that they are vegan, they like running, and that they both give off the best energy! They are such warm people full of so much love and light, and I couldn’t wait to photograph their garden engagement session in Salt Lake!

When I asked why they chose these gardens for their engagement session (and their eventual wedding at Red Butte Gardens), they told me that they both love gardens. It reminds them of when they were first dating. This particular garden also has international touches, and that was special to them, being in an interracial relationship!

Gary and Tina just adore each other, and it came through loud and clear during their engagement session in Salt Lake! They were a little nervous to start off, but with coaching and compliments, they were laughing and loving all over each other by the end! One of my favorite things about them is just how encouraging and nice they are to one another. Always saying how beautiful the other person is, and slipping in an “I love you” at every chance.
